Contest time! Name the Miami Heat’s new trio, win a T-Shirt with your nickname on it
Credit to commenter shawn on this one, but folks, it’s time to open up the contest gift bag and get your creative juices flowing.
Ever since LeBron James announced Friday that he would be bringing his talents to South Beach, people have been trying to assign a nickname to the trio of James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. Well, the time for talk is over. The time for action is now.
I want you to leave your best nickname idea in the comments of this blog. You have until 11:59 p.m. Tuesday to give your idea. Only one nickname per person, please. Also, no vulgarity or insults to other cities – this is a positive moment, lets keep the nickname positive.
Now, here’s the twist. When the ideas are in, I’ll create a giant poll featuring all the suggestions. Every one that qualifies gets in the poll. Then you pick your favorite. One fan, one vote, deciding the future.
And now here’s the fun part. Not only will your choice be selected as the definitive nickname of the trio by a jury of your peers, that nickname will go onto a shirt that I (or someone with actual design acumen) will design. And you get the first copy of said shirt!
Sound like a deal? Get cracking Heat fans; you shouldn’t be drunk by now, and hopefully the hangover has worn off, so it’s time to get to work!

As I’ve coined in my articles at Bleacher Report, I say they should be called the “South Beach Superteam”. However, the “Three Kings” sounds great too and variations of those two with “Dream Team” sound good, such as “South Beach Dream Team”, the “Three Kings Dream Team” or even the “South Beach Kings”

Explanation of “Renegade: 361″
I look at them as a group who are considered rebels in their own right, automatically became outlaws since Wade, James, and Bosh joined forces. They’ll take part in a rebellion against the NBA and it’s naysayers as they take great independence in “Action”. The Renegades will continously be in hot pursuit of the MAIN ultimate goal: TO WIN CHAMPIONSHIPS! To them, nothing else mattered, as already proven. By not accepting max deals, Renegade: 361 helped accomodate the Heat’s pursuit in creating a championship contender for years to come. A Trio with a focused attitude every 48 minutes, guaranteed.
