A reminder about commenting
There’s been an unprecedented amount of commenting done around here over the last week and a half, so I’d like to take a moment to remind you that there are rules about commenting. There are people who are supportive of the Heat (who we welcome) and people who aren’t so supportive (who we welcome as well). But general rules of good manners should be followed. There is a commenting guide available on the left-hand side of the homepage, but just in case you’ve forgotten, here are the basic rules.
-Excessive profanity: One word carefully placed probably won’t hurt you, but a string of swears will require me to take it down.
-Slurs: Whether they be ethnic or based on sexual preference, this is a no brainer. It will be removed immediately.
-ALL CAPS: This isn’t so offensive, and I’ll probably let it slide, but seriously, don’t do it. It’s just annoying.
The only way this can be accurately policed is by self-policing. If someone is in violation, please e-mail me with a link to the comment. Please don’t e-mail because someone’s a Lakers fan and you don’t like them. However, if someone is violating these rules, it needs to be dealt with.
Thanks again for your cooperation, and thanks for participating here. It just needs to be done in the right way.

I’m thinking this in response to lastnights spam-o-thon =). What got me going was when “Marcus” said those racist comments about UD. Then “monmon” started maked sexual prefrence comments to another Heat fan. When we called them out on that, they started calling us sensetive and soft lol! I Just don’t feel that race and SP have anything to do with Basketball talks but thats just me I guess… Thank you for the reminder and plz ban those punks, I can link you their posts if you would like.

my apologies, Matthew. i must admit i’m one of those who typed in all caps sometimes but that is just to give emphasis to some sentences, not the whole comment page.
Riq80, james, shawn, i enjoyed reading your rebuttals with marcus a.k.a. monmon and others last night.
If i may share with you something, i trolled once to the LA site about a month ago. It was an article about the reasons why LA will get their 3peat next year. You might be interested to know the simple thing i posted which gained a lot of resentment and made them ban my account. Here it goes….”i challenge you to post this again when you loose in the finals next year”.
Just a question Matthew and the others, is that post reason enough to ban someone from their site? The way i look at the posts of LA fans here, it’s more disrespectful and annoying compared to that one i posted.
Anyway, i don’t care anymore now because i’m more confident with this team. I don’t have any time to troll anymore.

Everything’s okay in moderation. I used Caps Lock in the LeBron reaction post. Just as long as your Lock has been off at some point in the last five years. And what you said may not be worth a banning here, or at a blog you would run, but if that’s the way they do business, that’s their right. I like people stirring the pot a little bit here, that’s why I welcome opposing fans to do a little poking, as long as it’s in good fun.

thanks, Matthew. yeah, i agree, it’s their right. and i can’t blame the laker fans/bloggers if they got easily irritated when i said that. Miami Thrice haven’t announced yet that they are joining forces when i posted that comment. But the rumor is already very strong. And i guess, that is what irritated lakers – the unstoppable threat.
