Hello PiM members. Mavericks fan here, and I have a few things to say along with one final question I must ask.
To say a few things, it was a good series. I enjoyed it very much. Sure, there were some scuffles, and a few bad calls(They went both ways) but overall, a great series. Fyi, the ratings for this final trumped that of the last 2 or 3, a 22% increase from last Finals. I would like to extend a warm shake of the hand from everyone at MMB, as you guys remained classy through it all. I have been keeping an eye on your blog, and it seems to be run very well. Also, the PiM members over at MMB seemed classy. Overall, it was a fun series and good luck to you going on.
Onto the meat of the thread. People say LeBron choked. I respectfully disagree. What he did do, is fail to step up in the fourth. There is a difference. However, that is a testament to his skill that he was expected to drop 15 in the 4th and create an amazing comeback. However, from a non-Heat fan point of view, since Wade was the one taking all of the shots in the 4th, and demanding the ball, it seems it is Wade's team. This is my mere opinion. I've heard that LeBron let Wade take shots to "Not step on anybodies toes" because Wade asked 'Bron to let him take over in the Finals. If it really was 'Bron's team, after going in a 3-2 hole or heck even tied at 2-2, LeBron would have said "Wade, you had your chance, but I'm not going to risk losing this series. I don't care if I step on your toes. We are going to win". True leaders put winning above it all.
This is what leads me to believe it is and will always be Wade's team. As a brilliant Yahoo! Sports writer once said, this will always be "LeBron trying to get another ring for Wade."
So, thoughts? opinions? Is it Wade or LeBron's team? I would LOVE to hear some opinions from Heat fans.
