Heat final score: Suns eclipsed by dominant Heat, 124-99

Mike Ehrmann

The Heat display some of their finest work on offense so far this season en route to an easy blowout against the visiting Phoenix Suns.

The Phoenix Suns already were facing a huge challenge to beat the Miami Heat on the road. But they couldn't stand a chance among a barrage of three pointers, crisp ball movement, and a balanced scoring attack that overcame the Suns over the course of the entire game but only truly kicked in and turned this into an official blowout until the beginning of the second half.

The Suns is longer the high-octane offensive team led by Steve Nash and featuring multi-skilled wingmen like Grant Hill and Leandro Barbosa, and they had to count on newcomers Luis Scola (15 points, 8 rebounds) and former Heat player Michael Beasley (7 points, 3-13 FG shooting, 1 rebound) to try to pick up the offensive workload. But their defense could do little to stop the juggernaut that was the Heat's all-out attack on the basket from all areas of the court.

Yes, the superstar trio of LeBron James (23 points, 8 rebounds, only 1 assist), Dwyane Wade (22 points, 9-14 FG shooting) and Chris Bosh (18 points, 7-10 FG shooting in 25 minutes) all their own highlight moments but what more can be said about the steady all-around brilliance of Ray Allen with an efficient 15 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists in 28 minutes.

The other positive of the night was seeing a return to form for Udonis Haslem, who benefited all night (along with Chris Bosh) with quick cuts to the basket and getting feed all night for easy baskets and a dozen points off the bench. The defense certainly showed some improvement over the past couple of games and created fast break opportunities by forcing turnovers, though at times it still appears to be a work in progress.

The Heat stay perfect at home going 3-0 and have one more home game against the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday before embarking on a six-game road trip.
