The 61st NBA All Star Game was a star studded event in Orlando. The stage was set, premiering the NBA's finest talent under the brightest of spotlights.
Miami's franchise players, Dwyane Wade and Lebron James lead the way for the East, combining for 60 points on the night.
It was just too much from the West to start the game, led by Oklahoma City Thunder's Kevin Durant who poured in 21 1st half points. He would finish the game with 36 points and capture the MVP trophy.
Dwyane Wade recorded the 3rd triple double in All Star Game history, tallying 24 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists.
Lebron james stuffed the stat sheet as well, leading the East in a 2nd half comeback that proved to be a nail biter, posting 36 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and connecting on 6-8 from downtown.
It was one of the best All Star games in recent memory, with the game coming down to the last 2 minutes. One interesting observation was the execution down the stretch for the East, which was centerd around the Heat's two superstars Lebron James and Dwayne Wade.
