Dirk Nowitzki made a one-legged jumper with 3.9 seconds left in regulation to tie the game at 103. Miami couldn't win the game at the buzzer, but dominated the overtime period to improve to 22-8 on the season. The Heat have now beaten the Dallas Mavericks four straight times; Dallas has not beaten Miami since winning the 2011 championship.
Ray Allen made a 3-pointer on the first possession of overtime. LeBron James then made a banker over Nowitzki to extend the lead to five. On Dallas' ensuing possession, Dwyane Wade stole the ball from a Vince Carter pass -- reminiscent of his key steal in overtime against Orlando Monday -- and went in for a dunk. Miami held on to win 119-109.
James led Miami with 32 points on 11-of-20 shooting from the field and 9-of-11 shooting from the foul line to go along with 12 rebounds and nine assists. Wade added 27 points, a season-high 10 rebounds, five assists and two blocks. Shane Battier made a corner 3-pointer with 14.5 seconds left to put Miami up 103-101 -- and those were his first points of the last two games.
