It's times like these that I kind of wish that the NBA had a schedule that was about 50 games long. It would put more meaning on each game and teams wouldn't take nights off or rest players (cough cough Popovich cough). The Heat would not have to worry about getting their team through a grueling 82 game season.
The long 82 game schedule favors younger teams who may or may not be more skilled than veteran teams. But a change will probably never happen because there is too much money (somehow) in producing games like the other night where the Wizards beat the Thunder. No one doubts that the Thunder are the superior team. The Wizards also beat the Heat earlier this season. These fluke games would decrease drastically with a shorter more efficient schedule. Agree?
Also, I like that the Heat are working out Bird Man. Good be a great defensive fill in for us.
