HHH GameTime Preview: Miami Heat host the Detroit Pistons

Raj Mehta-USA TODAY Sports

The Heat will go for 11 in a row as they host the disappointing Detroit Pistons.

The Miami Heat have an excellent chance of building on their NBA-leading 10-game winning streak as they host the Detroit Pistons Tuesday night at the AmericanAirlines Arena. The game starts at 7:30pm and will be televised by Sun Sports.

The Pistons brought in reinforcements over the summer including Chauncey Billups and Josh Smith but so far have a losing record just like 11 other teams in the incredibly weak Eastern Conference. However, they would still qualify for the playoffs if the season ended today as they sit in the eighth and final spot with a mediocre 7-10 record.

Rodney Stuckey leads the Pistons in scoring with 16.9 ppg and center Andre Drummond leads the NBA with 64 percent field goal percentage. Not to be outdone, Eastern Conference Player of the Week LeBron James isn't too far off with a career-high 59 percent shooting.

As for injuries, the Pistons are listing Billups as day-to-day and he hasn't played the last ten games due to left knee tendinitis. Will Bynum is still out with a strained left hamstring and could be out for up to two weeks.

The Heat are not reporting any injuries but things could have turned for the worse for backup guard Roger Mason Jr., who was robbed outside of a restaurant on Monday night. Thankfully, not only was Mason uninjured in the incident but police were able to nab the suspects and recover Roger's Rolex watch.

According to the Sun-Sentinel, the Heat have won 14 of the last 17 games against the Pistons.
