Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

LeBron James and Kobe Bryant named Eastern and Western Conference Player of the Week for games played February 19 through 24.

LeBron James led the way for another successful week of Miami Heat basketball and that hard work has paid off with the NBA naming him the Eastern Conference Player of the Week for games played Tuesday, February 19 through Sunday, February 24.

LeBron has earned Player of the Week accolades 42 times in his career, the most of any NBA player, and 16 times as a member of the Heat, a team record. Additionally, this is the fifth time this season he has been given this recognition.

Kobe Bryant was also named the Western Conference Player of the Week by the NBA. Other nominees included Atlanta's Al Horford, Boston's Jeff Green, Charlotte's Kemba Walker, Golden State's Jarrett Jack, Houston's James Harden, Indiana's Paul George, Memphis' Zach Randolph, Miami's Dwyane Wade, Oklahoma City's Russell Westbrook, Phoenix's Goran Dragic and Toronto's Rudy Gay.

The Heat took down the Atlanta Hawks, Chicago Bulls, and the Philadelphia 76ers on the road and then finished off the week with a home victory last night against the Cleveland Cavaliers. James averaged 23.5 points (fifth in the conference) on 59% FG shooting, 9.3 assists (second in the conference), 2.25 steals (third in the conference) and 7.8 rebounds. He posted two double-doubles during the week, as well as a triple-double (16 points, 11 assists, 10 rebounds) against the Sixers.
