Chris Andersen - Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and Ray Allen all missed today's shootaround.

The Miami Heat's official Twitter account announced today that the team has signed center Chris Andersen for the remainder of the season. Andersen had signed two consecutive 10-day contracts with Miami, so the Heat had to decide whether to keep him for the rest of the season. The move makes sense; Andersen played very well after finally getting a chance to play. Outside of LeBron James and Chris Bosh, he's probably Miami's best big man.

The Twitter account also announced that Ray Allen, Bosh and Dwyane Wade missed today's shootaround in advance of tonight's home game against the Los Angeles Clippers. Allen and Bosh have the flu, while Wade is not feeling well. Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said that Allen probably will not play. Wade and Bosh are game-time decisions.
