Preview: Heat travel to Milwaukee to extend winning streak

Mike Ehrmann

The Miami Heat continue their winning ways in Milwaukee to face a scrappy Bucks team.

The Miami Heat have looked quite comfortable beating good teams like the Oklahoma City Thunder, Los Angeles Clippers and the Indiana Pacers during their historic winning streak.

But it's teams like the Orlando Magic and the Cleveland Cavaliers have given the Heat much bigger problems and have often required heroic feats from LeBron James and/or Dwyane Wade to walk away with a victory.

The MIlwaukee Bucks (32-31, 16-15 at home) sit in the middle of the two extremes, certainly not an elite team in the East nor a lottery team, and they've given the defending champs plenty of headaches in their latest clashes.

With a win today, the Heat would skip ahead of the 1970-71 Bucks team that also won 20 consecutive games and be positioned right behind the 2007-08 Houston Rockets team that won 22 straight and the 1971-72 Lakers squad that won 33 times in a row.

Shane Battier (flu) is still listed as day-to-day with the flu, though he did play 15 minutes in the victory over the Philadelphia 76ers.

Luc Richard Mbah a Moute (toe) is out for tonight's game, which starts at 8:30 at the Bradley Center. Recently acquired J.J. Redick is listed as day-to-day with a sprained ankle, as is Ersan Ilyasova (bone bruise, knee) and Larry Sanders (hyperextended knee).
