Preview Heat vs Bulls: Miami goes for 28 straight

Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

The Miami Heat are only six games away from tying the old time record for most consecutive games won in a regular season. The defensive oriented Chicago Bulls will look to stop that record tonight.

How nice would it have been if Derrick Rose decided to return tonight, after his season ending ACL injury from last year? The Bulls, at full strength, would more than serve as a threat to end this winning streak but are currently short handed.

Things could even out somewhat though because Dwyane Wade is still a game time decision, dealing with knee soreness. If Wade sits again, Mike Miller should draw the start.

Joakim Noah, who arguably was the front runner for defensive player of the year before his injury, is also listed as a game time call and for the Bulls to have a remote chance against the Heat, he must play.

Despite both teams, seemingly hobbled with injuries, I'd expect a grind out type game, coming down to the wire. I'd also be surprised if Noah and Wade didn't play, given their competitive spirit and public recognition of this rival.

Enjoy!
