With Ray Allen and Chris Anderson resigning the Miami Heat roster stands at 14 out of 15 spots. The summer league will play out a potential roster spot for Jarvis Varnando for depth at the frontline or long shot second round pick James Ennis. There is a great chance Riley plays the waiting game and fills out the roster with what is left at the veterans minimum contract. And there is the Juwan Howard to ride for 3rd championship.
The Heat can stand pat. Yes, the Nets made major changes, Pacers added a stronger bench, and Derrick Rose is ready to get the Bulls relevant as contenders in the East, but the Heat can brings everyone back. The only question is if they amnesty Mike Miller or Joel Anthony. the likelihood would be Miller and I can see the addition of a veteran to fill that slot with either Varnando or Enis to fill the roster. I don't see major shake-ups, just Pat Riley tweaking the team from start to finish. Right now, the Heat are still the favorite and the best thing is for Dwayne Wade to be fully healthy at the start of the season. Small ball still works with the Heat and the rest of the league will have to prove they can stop it.
