The Pacers have hit that funk, losing three straight games. The same funk that comes and goes for every single team in the NBA. However, it seems like the Heat are right there with them, losing their last two. However, with last night's Pacer loss to the Rockets, the Miami Heat are tied with the Pacers in the loss column, (again). They are now 1.5 games behind from the first seed in the Eastern Conference, yet they've been struggling to capitalize on the Pacers' struggles recently, with obstacles of their own.
Miami doesn't need that first seed, but the Pacers have convinced themselves that they do, since last years' playoffs. If the Heat gain that first seed this year, Indiana would be crushed emotionally, which would perhaps hinder their playoff performance.
Basically, it's time for the Heat to capitalize. The time is now.
