Injury report: Dwyane Wade returns from injury and will be starting vs Hawks

Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

Miami HEAT guard returns after a lengthy absence.

Dwyane Wade will make his long-awaited return after mission the last nine games due to a pesky hamstring injury.

"I'm going to give it a go tonight," said Wade before tonight's Miami Heat game on the road against the Atlanta Hawks.

"He's going to be extremely winded, but we just hope he can come through the game and make strides and move forward and not have a setback," LeBron James said.

Greg Oden continues to be out and did not accompany the team on the two-game road trip. This is not because of his back spasms, rather he's the next Heat player to be stricken with a nasty stomach virus that has recently attacked Ray Allen and Udonis Haslem. Better this happen now than in the preseason, I suppose.

Justin Hamilton is also listed as inactive.
