Heat show support for Clippers; Adam Silver's decision to ban Donald Sterling

USA TODAY Sports

Reaction to the punishment handed down by Commissioner Adam Silver immediately came from members of the Heat.

Since the scandal broke, the Miami Heat have been among the first NBA teams to show support for the Los Angeles Clippers.

LeBron James was one of many who voiced their anger and disappointment at Donald Sterling for his racist comments made to his girlfriend. The Heat also showed their support for the Clippers players before Game 4 and wore black headbands and socks as well.

Today, the Heat reacted to the news that NBA Commissioner Adam Silver has indeed banned Sterling for life from the NBA, fined him the maximum $2.5 million and will call a vote among all the NBA owners to force him to sell the Clippers.
