Infographic: Breaking down the last 10 Miami Heat games

W45t4_medium

This is my project for my Visualizing Information class at Michigan State University. I'm a graphic designer and marketing student graduating on May 2. I wanted to choose a topic that was relevant to my interests and I follow the Heat regularly and decided to do my Charts project on the Heat, LeBron's scoring and Dwyane vs. LeBron's minutes over the last 10 games. Spoiler alert: they've been squeaking by, LeBron's been scoring and Dwyane's been resting. Bring on the playoffs.

The first graph is a simple pie chart that has a brief overview of Miami's wins and losses in their last 10 attempts. They came out with 6 wins and 4 losses since March 22. They played 6 at home and 4 on the road. LeBron played in every game and Dwyane only played in one.

The graph below that one shows the minutes each player played in the past ten games. LeBron averaged 36 minutes per game and Dwyane averaged 32. Dwyane also only played 32 TOTAL MINUTES as you can see highlighted on the graph.

Finally, to your right you have LeBron's individual scores from the past 10 outings. LeBron averaged 27.2 points over that streak, slightly above his season average.
