A letter to Erik Spoelstra

Why are we still chasing the ball on drive and kicks.

It is apparent that we or any other team can move faster than the ball. We have gotten away from taken charges on the initial drive. We all know that the Spurs will attack the paint and kick out to the 3 point line or dump into a big on small low post option.

The simple answer is to put guys in who are willing to take the charge on the initial or secondary drive into the lane, this should force the Spurs to play at a more cautious pace. The key is to work the refs before the tip off and through the entire game.

Our guys are leaving early to pick up the next rotation and leaving a lot of charges out of our game. We're down 3-1 but not out and I'm still riding with you.

Heat it up,

Phly
