Alright Heat community, I know you have a lot of other things going on right now, but for most of the rest of the league, other than watching a rematch of one of the greatest finals in history, our sights are set on the offseason. At the Timberwolves SBNation sight, Canishoopus, we are doing a mock draft and I was lucky enough to become bizarro Pat Riley.
The problem is, we aren't signing free agents, just doing the draft and trades. As it happens, the Heat have only IMO good contracts and other than signing free agents and being smart in the draft, I'm not sure how to proceed. The assumption in our mock rules is that player options are picked up so the big three stay together for at least another year. I want to be active in the trade discussion but I don't know the best direction to go. Can anyone tell me what the dominant thoughts are here at Hot Hot Hoops?
What are the weaknesses that the Heat need to shore up going into next season?
Who should they go after with the 26th pick?
Should they move up in the draft?
Should they move down?
Thanks for any thoughts you might have. I want to make move based on information from those who know the Heat better than most. Cheers!
