+

Hot Hot Hoops would like to wish the Miami HEAT's Shabazz Napier a happy birthday. Shabazz turns 23 today, remember he played all four years at UConn, and is working hard in Las Vegas representing the Miami Heat in Summer League. While he struggled with his shot in the first tournament in Orlando last week, he's already showing improvement and looks to be an important part of the Heat's growing youth movement. PHOTOS: What if every NBA player went "home" like LeBron James?

Here's a visual representation of the best starting units NBA teams could field if every star went to their home area. The Heat put together Tim Hardaway Jr., Brandon Knight, Trevor Ariza, Udonis Haslem and Larry Sanders. Check it out.

Ray Allen breaks down social media etiquette with orange juice

1

Ray Allen took to social media (something that is becoming popular these days) to vent a little on the pressures of being an athlete with more than jus "meaningless" things to share. Allen writes: "I post a picture about orange juice and all you guys care about is to talk about basketball. There is more to life. Don't be one track minded people. People comment that athletes only post about meaningless things but when we do Noone or even has anything good to add. Don't just use social media to talk trash or to argue with people. Use it to grow and learn. When I decide what to do it will be what is best for my family and no one else. I appreciate all of your concerns." It's been rumored heavily that Ray Allen is very interested in playing along LeBron James and will follow him to Cleveland if it all comes together nicely. So should we expect our Ray Ray to leave his sweet accommodations in Miami and face the harsh climate of Cleveland or will he simply retire? We'll soon find out...hopefully minus the orange juice.

Chris Bosh has a special message for Heat Nation

1

In case you missed Chris Bosh's announcement on social media early Saturday, here is what he had to say: "I'm glad I'm staying. Looking forward to starting a new chapter in Miami's book!" So there you have it, Bosh is clearly here to continue a legacy that no one can take away from Miami. WadeCounty and TeamBosh is in full effect!

Adrienne Bosh shares her positive words

+

In light of the recent changes to a familiar lineup, Adrienne Bosh provides some positive words with her social media with the following: "Don't let a little water from an elephant's trunk rain your parade". It's no surprise that Mrs. Bosh is a big fan of Miami and perhaps that played a large role in Chris Bosh deciding to stay with a team that made him a two-time NBA champion and opened the doors to many opportunities. Regardless of how he came to his decision, Heat fans must certainly grateful for his will to continue and not take the "grass is greener on the other side" bait. We, for our part, will continue to look forward to the motivational and positive words from Team Bosh for years to come.

As if things couldn't get wilder during LeBron Watch 2014, now we've got this...a Twitter account for LeBron's lawn. Yeah, his lawn! Many Cleveland residents have been "patrolling" his property in his hometown as they await any sign or indication of his decision. Can LeBron just make it be known already? God only knows what else can come from all this anticipation.

Meanwhile, Mario Chalmers works out

1

While the entire NBA world is on pins and needles awaiting the decision from LeBron James as to where he will play next season, Mario Chalmers is showcasing his skills via Instagram. Here is one of a series of clips he's posted saying "Minor setback for a major comeback". To that we say "Hey Chalmers, what's your gut feeling about LeBron' decision?'

On his website?! No. At the United Nations!

+

"This decision affects everyone on the planet," James said. "I want to let all the nations on Earth know at the same time."
