LeBron James has seen his likeness on everything from shirts to billboards in his career but it still must have been quite a sight for him during his recent visit to Nike campus when he saw this behemoth of a sand sculpture. Even with James standing 6'-8", this display makes him look quite smaller - though the likeness isn't quite perfect (a bit of a cross between LeBron, Joel Anthony and Charlie Villanueva). Then again, this is sand we're talking about. I'd be lucky if I can get one bucket of sand to look like, well, a bucket of sand before toppling over.

Chris Bosh posted a picture on Instagram on Monday in front of his old high school, Lincoln High in Dallas. Bosh gained much attention while playing on his high school's basketball team by leading them to the 2001-02 number one ranking in the country.

LeBron James reports for jury duty


Even LeBron James can't escape his civic duties, but he seems happy to fill the role. Sharing this picture and message via Instagram: "Jury duty time. Time to serve my civic duty". Predictably, James attracted a lot of attention at the county courthouse in downtown Akron. The NBA MVP was not selected as a juror was free to leave by 10:30 AM. (via the Akron Beacon Journal)

As part of a tribute titled "We Are Trayvon", Dwyane Wade and his sons, Zion and Zaire, will grace the cover of September's Ebony magazine. The magazine will put out three additional covers that'll feature Spike Lee and his son, Boris Kodjoe and his son, and Trayvon Martin’s family.

Now we have this image he posted on Instagram from China, where he can be seen chilling with rap legend Dr. Dre. Could an official music release be on the horizon for the King? One bit of advice no matter how good you may be at music LeBron, don't quit your day job (for the sake of Heat fans).

In a classy move by the Miami HEAT, expect to see a full-page ad in all major South Florida newspapers this Thursday to honor Mike Miller's career with the team. The Miami HEAT amnestied Miller on Tuesday after a 3 year stay.
