PreHeat: Miami Heat (4-1) at New Orleans Hornets (4-0)

After three days of inactivity, the Miami Heat will play their fourth road game in their sixth game of the regular season. This time it's against the undefeated New Orleans Hornets (only 3 such teams left in the NBA) and their star point guard Chris Paul. It will be a welcome test for the Heat after too-easy wins against the Orlando Magic, New Jersey Nets and Minnesota Timberwolves. The Hornets have matched their best start in franchise history at 4-0, also duplicating the start of the 06-07 and 07-08 seasons. Dwyane Wade and LeBron James sat out of the first matchup between these two teams in the preseason, a 90-76 loss to the Hornets. Chris Bosh was dominant in that game, scoring 20 points in a dominating third quarter, so it would be wise to see if the Heat can get Bosh to match that effort tonight. That was the only win of the Hornets for the preseason, losing 7 other games. The Heat should have their hands full containing Emeka Okafor from the glass. However, Paul is leading the Hornets in scoring (21.3) and assists (9.0) but surprisingly is also adding 6.3 rebounds per game. Can Carlos Arroyo keep up with the arguably the best point guard in the NBA? Hornets are fifth in the league in points allowed at 93.8 with the Heat first at 84.0. After being held out of practice yesterday due to a minor right shin bruise, LeBron James is good to go for tonight. He participated in the early team shootaround. Probable lineups: Hornets - Chris Paul, Marco Belinelli, Trevor Ariza, David West, Emeka Okafor Heat - Carlos Arroyo, Dwyane Wade, LeBron James, Chris Bosh, Joel Anthony ... Key injuries: Hornets - Marcus Thornton (strained left achilles) is probable. Heat - Mike Miller (hand) is out. ... When/Where: 8 p.m., New Orleans Arena. TV -- Sun Sports. Radio -- WINZ (940-AM), WQBA (1140-AM, Spanish broadcast)
