After leading the Heat to a perfect 4-0 road trip, Dwyane Wade was named the NBA's Eastern Conference Player of the Week earlier today. This comes on the heels of Wade scoring 34 and 36 points in back-to-back games on Friday and Saturday, sending the Heat to a season-high 8-game win streak.
Dwyane showed us that even when surrounded by the likes of LeBron and Chris Bosh, he can still put up ridiculous numbers. I don't think many players have won this award while playing a 4-game week, all of which on the road. He averaged 30.8 points on 58% shooting, with 8.3 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 1.0 steal.
This is the 13th time that Wade has won Player of the Week but the first time this season.
