PreHeat: Miami Heat (20-8) at Washington Wizards (6-18)

Quick Notes:
  • The Wizards are currently on a 6 game losing streak, last losing by 8 to the New Jersey Nets. Not a lot can be asked from a team running on spare parts but the youngsters are ready to prove themselves with their increased minutes.
  • With the Heat’s current confidence level, teams like these are becoming more troubling than teams above .500. The Heat’s worst enemy is themselves as they seemingly find themselves bored with the opposition, playing down to their level. In a perfect world the Heat starts aggressive and maintains a hearty lead for the starters to rest the fourth quarter, but of course, it’s more exciting staying even and turning it on in the third and fourth. The risk will come to bite them back someday, hopefully not today.
