Quick Notes:
- The Wizards are currently on a 6 game losing streak, last losing by 8 to the New Jersey Nets. Not a lot can be asked from a team running on spare parts but the youngsters are ready to prove themselves with their increased minutes.
- The last meeting, a 105-94 win for the Heat known as The Hangnail game, was an Arenas-Blatche show. With John Wall missing, Arenas took reigns of the team dropping 23 points but taking 21 shots to achieve them. Blatche dropped 26 points and snagged 9 rebounds.
- With the Heat’s current confidence level, teams like these are becoming more troubling than teams above .500. The Heat’s worst enemy is themselves as they seemingly find themselves bored with the opposition, playing down to their level. In a perfect world the Heat starts aggressive and maintains a hearty lead for the starters to rest the fourth quarter, but of course, it’s more exciting staying even and turning it on in the third and fourth. The risk will come to bite them back someday, hopefully not today.
- BREAKING NEWS: Gilbert Arenas has just been traded to the Orlando Magic for Rashard Lewis. No Gil for the Heat to deal with tonight.
