Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra delivered the news as soon as he sat down for his pregame interview with the media before Monday night's home game against the Dallas Mavericks.
He will be suiting up tonight. I talked to Pat (Riley) after the shoot-around; we both decided that he's ready to suit. We probably won't play him tonight. We can use him as a decoy, maybe. If the situation calls for it, I may throw him in there. Mario (Chalmers) is a little under the weather, so that contributes to this. The plan is still to go ahead with our practice, give him a workout tomorrow and practice full scale on Wednesday. He is suiting up tonight and he is excited about that. He was surprised when he had his jersey laid out for him in his locker. Mike is going to play a big part in what we are doing. We'll work him in. It'll probably be slowly at first and then as he gets more comfortable and healthy, and in more shape and rhythm, his role will increase.
