The Basketball Jones Comes to Miami (HELP!) **UPDATED**

Hey Everyone,

I'm going to ask you for a little bit of help here. Next Wednesday The Basketball Jones is coming to Miami on their "No Season Required" Tour. The location is unconfirmed **UPDATE: the event will be held at Tobacco Road, which will be awesome**, but it will be at a Miami area bar and will be from roughly 7pm to 9pm. If you aren't familiar with TBJ, you should be. The Basketball Jones is an NBA blog/podcast/TV show out of Toronto that is a must follow for any NBA fan. The Jones got it's start as a written blog, then took audio form, then video form, then this season got put on TV. Tas Melas and J.E. Skeets are the on-air guys, and are as hilarious and basketball-knowledgable as they come. Trey Kirby took over the blogging duties at TBJ, and has made it must read material. As effusive as my praise has been, I'm still understating their awesomeness.

Surya and I will both be in attendance, wherever it is held (the place they're holding out for is awesome), and I AM ASKING VERY NICELY that you come. If you like laughing, you'll love it. If you like basketball, you'll love it. If you like laughing AND basketball (and beer) you'll be in heaven.

I didn't care when fans didn't show up to games in 2008, 2009 and 2010 because the team was in a holding pattern and tickets were expensive. I didn't care when lower bowl ticketholders arrived fashinably late last year because at least they were there...sometimes. But I will care if attendance is poor on when the TBJ rolls to town.

If you RSVP on the Facebook event page and send me a confirmation tweet about it, your first beer is on me (if you're of age).

Come hang out, I'd really love to meet some readers and tweeters.

Also, while I've got your attention, please click this link and vote for Ben Swanson (@CardboardGerald). Ben runs the Charlotte Bobcats blog Rufus on Fire and is up for a blogging scholarship worth $10,000. Ben does a great job on the blog and is a great follow on Twitter. Help him out.
