A hard shove from behind courtesy of Miami Heat center Erick Dampier sent San Antonio guard Tony Parker sprawling on a layup attempt and an automatic ejection with the flagrant foul. The NBA will only fine him, good news for the Heat who will need plenty of size for their upcoming game against the Chicago Bulls on Sunday.
NBA press release:
NEW YORK -- Eric Dampier of the Miami Heat has been fined $10,000 for his Flagrant Foul, Penalty Two against Tony Parker of the San Antonio Spurs, it was announced today by Stu Jackson, NBA Executive Vice President, Basketball Operations.
The incident occurred with 2:13 remaining in the third quarter of the Heat’s 125-95 loss to the Spurs at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, TX on March 4.
But is there more to that foul than trying to stop Parker from making an easy basket and sending him to the line? Check this out...
