On the day before the playoffs begin the Heat got a nice little boost as LeBron James was named the Eastern Conference Player of the Month for April. This is a great way for him to close out his first season as a member of the Miami Heat. It marks the 3rd time that James has been named Player of the Month this season; he and Dwyane Wade shared the honor in December and then James won it again in January.
LeBron helped the Heat to a 6-1 record in April, catching up to the Celtics and clinching the 2nd seed in the Eastern Conference. He also led the NBA in scoring during the month of April with 28.5 points per game on 55% shooting, adding 6.8 rebounds, 8.0 assists and 2.8 steals.
