Just in time for the NBA Playoffs, Nike have just released their third version this season of LeBron James' signature shoe.
The LEBRON 8 PS is lighter, lower to the ground, more responsive and designed expressly by Nike to take LeBron through the post season. LeBron's first signature shoe to use Hyperfuse construction, the LEBRON 8 PS comes in around 1.5 ounces lighter than the regular season model, keeping his shoe lightweight, supportive, breathable and durable.
In order to fully appreciate the new features of the shoe, Nike graciously invited me to a Media Briefing and Wear-Test Event. If that wasn't enough, we tested out the shoe directly on the court at the AmericanAirlines Arena as preparations were underway to deck out the arena in the White Hot theme on the eve of the Miami Heat's first playoff game.
My full report on the event as well as my initial impressions of the shoe will be up shortly over at Crossover Chronicles, Bloguin's new NBA blog where I'm also serving as editor there. As a matter of fact, you should be checking that out daily anyway because it has some great content already in just our first week. Bookmark it and enjoy.
For now, enjoy the full photo gallery provided by Nike below where you can check out the shoe Nike gave away to all fans sitting court-side for Game 1 against the Philadelphia Sixers.
