Heat Announce NBA Finals Schedule, Promotions And Activities

MIAMIThe HEAT announced today the schedule for its NBA Finals series against the Dallas Mavericks. The complete schedule is as follows:

The championship round of White Hot: The 2011 HEAT Playoffs opens Tuesday at the AmericanAirlines Arena. The best-of-seven series will be played in a 2-3-2 format, with the HEAT holding home court advantage. Game 1 is scheduled for a 9:00 p.m. tip off. Game 2 will be played Thursday, June 2nd, slated for a 9:00 p.m. start time. The HEAT will then travel to Dallas for Games 3 and 4, where the contests will be played Sunday, June 5th and Tuesday, June 7th, respectively. Games 5, 6 and 7 will only be played if necessary. Doors to the AmericanAirlines Arena will open two-and-a-half hours prior to Games 1, 2, and 7, and two hours prior to game time for Game 6. All NBA Finals games are exclusively broadcast by ABC.

Tickets for Games 1 and 2 are still available. Fans can purchase tickets online at HEAT.com, Ticketmaster.com, or by calling 1-800-4NBA-TIX. Tickets can be purchased at the AmericanAirlines Arena Ticket Office starting Tuesday, May 24th at 10:00 a.m.

With such a strong demand for tickets for the NBA Finals, the HEAT has made available additional memberships for the HEAT Priority Access Club. Fans who purchase a membership will have a guaranteed opportunity to purchase tickets to future home games of the NBA Finals. Only HEAT fans who purchase MVP-level Priority Access Club memberships will receive this exclusive NBA Finals opportunity. Fans can purchase memberships to the HEAT Priority Access Club exclusively on HEAT.com.

In addition to this initial on-sale, the HEAT will likely intermittently release Lower Level tickets throughout the days leading up to both games. These Lower Level tickets, held for NBA executives and personnel, are expected to sell quickly, so fans are encouraged to repeatedly log onto HEAT.com and click on the “White Hot Playoff Tickets Nowbutton to search for available inventory.

 

The general public can also access tickets on HEAT ticketExchange 24/7 online at HEAT.com. Tickets available on HEAT ticketExchange are sold exclusively by HEAT Season Ticket Holders. HEAT ticketExchange is a safe and convenient way for fans to purchase tickets that would be unavailable otherwise, including lower bowl tickets. Ticket prices for the HEAT ticketExchange program are established by each individual Season Ticket Holder when they post their tickets for sale. Fans can access HEAT ticketExchange by logging onto HEAT.com.

The East Plaza of AmericanAirlines Arena continues to be White Hot HEAT party central for every home playoff game during the 2011 White Hot HEAT Playoff run. Pre-game and half-time activities will include live music, a Miami Hoops Gear retail tent, a Season Ticket Holder beer garden, autographs by the Miami HEAT Dancers, a photo station featuring Burnie, the HEAT mascot, an interactive “sport court,” inflatables, games, contest, activities and more.

 

White Hot HEAT Road Rallies at AmericanAirlines Arena

The White Hot HEAT Road Rally is the official watch party for White Hot HEAT playoff road games. The White Hot HEAT Road Rallies for Games 3 and 4 of the NBA Finals will be hosted at AmericanAirlines Arena. In-Arena PA Announcer Michael Baiamonte will host, while the HEAT Dancers, Burnie, the Xtreme Team, HEAT Banana Man, the Humana Golden Oldies and In-Arena Host Dale provide entertainment. HEAT fans in attendance can enjoy drink specials and have chances to win great HEAT prizes.

HEATVonHEAT.com Presented by Carnival Cruise Lines

HEATV, the team’s award-winning internal broadcasting unit, will continue to produce HEATVonHEAT.com, Presented by Carnival Cruise Lines, a series of live webcasts that will be streamed exclusively on HEAT.com. These webcasts include live pregame, halftime and post game shows hosted by the team’s broadcast team led by Jason Jackson, Eric Reid and Tony Fiorentino. The postgame shows include live coach and player press conferences, as well as player interviews, game highlights and analysis. Fans can tune in a half hour before tip off to catch the start of the live coverage of HEATVonHEAT.com.

English Radio Coverage

WAXY 790 The Ticket will continue to carry all HEAT playoff games with expanded HEAT playoff coverage featuring HEAT Play-By-Play Announcer Mike Inglis, and Color Commentator John Crotty. 790 the Ticket’s Jonathan Zaslow and Tommy Tighe will provide in-depth pre-game, halftime and post-game analysis for every NBA Finals contest. Fans outside the local market can catch the games on the HEAT Radio Network, with coverage in West Palm on ESPN 760 WEFL, in the Florida Keys on 1300 AM WFFG, and 101.7 FM WKYZ, and in Naples/Ft. Myers on ESPN 770 WWCN.

 

Spanish Radio Coverage

All HEAT playoff games can also be heard en Español on Univision Radio’s WQBA-1140 AM. José Pañeda will handle the play-by-play duties, with Joe Pujala serving as Host/Color Commentator.

White Hot Crazy HEAT Fans Presented by Xfinity

In conjunction with Comcast, the team encourages HEAT fans to show their love for the HEAT by dressing in the most outrageous and creative White Hot attire prior to each NBA Finals home game to earn a spot in the White Hot Crazy HEAT Fans section. The team will host a contest outside Gates 1 and 2 of the Arena to determine the “craziest” eight fans. Each of those eight fans will receive a free game ticket in the 300 Level of Uptown and an iPod Touch courtesy of Comcast. 790 The Ticket’s Sports Brothers—Ed Freeman and Jeff Fox—are scheduled to be among the special guest judges.
