LeBron James named Eastern Conference Player of the Week for 3rd time this season

The NBA announced earlier today that LeBron James was named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week for games played between Monday January 23rd and Sunday the 29th. This is the 3rd time in 5 weeks that LeBron has won the award. James led the Heat to a perfect 4-0 record, which includes wins against a pair of top conference rivals in the New York Knicks and Chicago Bulls.

LeBron led the league in scoring, averaging 29.0 points per game, and topped 30 points in 3 of the 4 games. He also averaged 7.5 rebounds, 6.0 assists and a steal. Here is a recap of the week for James:

Jan. 24 vs. Cleveland: Put up 18 points, five rebounds, five assists and a pair of steals in a 92-85 win over the Cavaliers.

Jan. 25 @ Detroit: Collected 32 points, seven assists, six rebounds and two steals in a 101-98 win over the Pistons.

Jan. 27 vs. New York: Tallied 31 points, eight rebounds and seven assists in a 99-89 win over the Knicks.

Jan. 29 vs. Chicago: Closed the week with 35 points, 11 rebounds and five assists during a 97-93 victory over the Bulls.
