The Miami Heat will host gold medalist Anthony Davis and the New Orleans Hornets tonight at 8 p.m. on ESPN2 to close out the preseason and prepare for Oct. 30's opening night game against the Boston Celtics. LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade are all expected to play, and only Joel Anthony (hamstring) is out for Miami. Austin Rivers, Eric Gordon and Jason Smith are out for New Orleans. Miami's biggest priority tonight is to continue to build chemistry, but Erik Spoelstra will likely play the Big Three limited minutes to reduce the risk of injury. Garrett Temple and Terrel Harris will battle tonight for the chance to make the team's final roster spot. Tonight also represents Spoelstra's last chance to set a rotation before regular season begins, with Miami's second unit somewhat unknown beyond Norris Cole and Ray Allen. Will Rashard Lewis and Udonis Haslem have to compete for minutes? Will Mike Miller play regularly?
Here's the list of probable starters.
Enjoy the game Heat fans!
