Miami trailed early but put on a 20-0 run for a 6 minute stretch in the 2nd quarter, turning a 9 point deficit into an 11 point lead by halftime.
The Heat struggled in the 3rd quarter however, getting outscored 27-17 and saw their led cut to 1 entering the 4th.
Orlando continued their run in the 4th, leading by as many as 4. The Heat were able to tie the game at 94 late, with a Dwyane Wade 3-pointer with 38 seconds left in regulation.
Wade found himself with the ball in his hands on the final possession for the second straight game in a row. Tonight he went isolation against J.J. Redick, shooting a step back jumper at the buzzer that just rimmed out.
The Miami Heat went ice cold at the end scoring only 4 points in overtime. Dwyane Wade scored Miami's last 7 points, including all 4 points in overtime.
Jameer Nelson was able to create havec down the stretch, torching Miami for 25 points on the night and hitting big shot after big shot. Dwight Howard was also dominant in the interior, finishing with 24 points and 25 rebounds.
Dwayne Wade lead the way for Miami, with a game high 28 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists but it wasn't enough to get the victory.
Lebron James struggled with his shot tonight, shooting jut 7-20 but finished with 19 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists.
Chris Bosh posted solid numbers as usual and found himself guarding Dwight Howard down the stretch as Miami played small ball. He finished with 23 points and 8 rebounds on 9-14 shooting.
Miami is now 1-2 against Orlando this season, but can't help but feel like they let this when slip down the stretch. The Heat will now take off to Chicago as they visit the Bulls tomorrow night on ESPN.
