LeBron unveils LeBron 11 shoe at "The 11|11 Experience" Nike event in South Beach

New, comment

The MVP arrived to a packed crowd at the launch event celebrating his newest signature shoe model.

Nike celebrated a decade of tech-laden stylish shoes, excellence and now championships in honor of LeBron James and his career with the Nike LeBron "The 11|11 Experience" in the heart of South Beach Sunday night. The special occasion marked the release of the new LeBron 11 as well as the introduction of the King's latest commercial.

LeBron's wife Savannah Brinson, his mother Gloria James, musician Pharrell Williams, DJ Irie, DJ Steph Floss, Heat TV personality Jason Jackson and plenty of the King's friends were present at the event, held on the sixth floor of a Lincoln Road parking garage located at 1111 Lincoln Road. Obvious numerology aside, the ample space provided plenty of room for a Lamborghini outfitted with a LeBron 11 colorway, an exhibit featuring his past LeBron shoes a Nike shoe wall and a detailed history of the technology, culture and style that went into each model of his famous LeBron signature line. There was also a basketball court right in the middle so you could witness firsthand the LeBron 11s in action. A booth was set up that allowed guests to customize their shoes, socks and shirts to their liking.

Finally it was time for the main event once the sun went down and the drinks were flowing at the open bar. LeBron made his grand entrance to the delight of hundreds of fans and he sat down for about 45 minutes with two- time NBA champ and current TNT broadcaster Kenny "The Jet" Smith to discuss his preparation for this season, his championship drive and of course his new LeBron 11s.

The exhibit will continue to be open at the same location until Tuesday, October 29 if you want to see it for yourself.

Check out an exclusive gallery of photos from the event and as for the shoes themselves, here's a pic LeBron snapped of his "1 of 1" LeBron 11s.
