Heat re-assign Jarvis Varnado to NBDL Skyforce

Jarvis Varnado has been sent to the Sioux Falls Skyforce to get some extra playing time while Miami continues its winning ways.

USA TODAY Sports

The Heat are still using their plane tickets to Sioux Falls with or without Dexter Pittman this year. Varnado hasn't gotten much run with the Heat so far this season, and with practice time at a minimum, they have shipped him to get some extra work with the Skyforce.

The only question that remains now is who will join James Jones, Mike Miller, Rashard Lewis, Juwan Howard and Joel Anthony in the pre-game 3-on-3 games?

Below is the HEAT official press release with all the details...

Miami, FL - The Miami HEAT announced today that forward Jarvis Varnado has been re-assigned to the Sioux Falls Skyforce of the NBA Development League. The Skyforce are the HEAT's D-League affiliate.

Varnado was previously assigned to Sioux Falls by the HEAT earlier this season on March 1 before being recalled on March 10. He has now appeared in 15 NBA Development League games (14 starts) for the Skyforce this season averaging 12.3 points, 9.9 rebounds, 3.67 blocks, 1.1 assists and 29.9 minutes while shooting 52.2 percent from the field.

Varnado will rejoin the Skyforce and be available for tomorrow night's game against the Canton Charge.
