Yesterday we reported that the wedding between Miami Heat superstar LeBron James and Savannah Brinson that took place at 4:30 PM PST Saturday evening in San Diego was held under a strict "no phone or camera" policy. That hasn't stopped us from scouring any and all related social media accounts of the reportedly 200 or so guests that were present.
What we found is just a glimpse of the preparation and aftermath of the surprisingly small ceremony. (Small is of course relative when it comes to King James.)
Guests at the Grand Del Mar hotel included Heat owner Micky Arison, Heat president Pat Riley and almost all of his Heat teammates including Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Shane Battier, and Norris Cole.
According to USA Weekly, Beyonce flew in from performing a show the night before in Brazil and joined husband Jay-Z in singing their "Crazy In Love" song in a short performance after the wedding with a full band.
UPDATE: Though this was widely reported throughout the media, sources present at the wedding have either flatly denied that Beyonce was present (let alone had performed) or did not personally see her.
Ne-Yo, Carmelo Anthony and wife La La also attended the wedding, which is the centerpiece of a three-day celebration that also includes a brunch today. Oprah Winfrey was also reportedly present at the wedding and made a speech, thought this is also apparently disputed through other sources.
What a beautiful wedding. Congratulations to @KingJames and his beautiful wife @SavannahRB. #happiness #forever
