Because Miami simply isn't sunny enough...

USA TODAY Sports

Squeezing in a working vacation might be doable for some people out there, but the Miami HEAT are taking it up a notch with the announcement today that the entire team will be heading to the Bahamas for training camp starting next Tuesday, October 1 to Friday, October 4.

After Media Day at the AmericanAirlines Arena scheduled for Monday, September 30 the world champions will pack their bags for the Atlantis Paradise Island Resort to begin two-a-day practice sessions for the rest of the week.

The HEAT has held training camp at the AA Arena for the past couple of years but did travel to Eglin Air Force Base in Fort Walton Beach, Florida to get ready for the 2010-11 season with new acquisitions LeBron James and Chris Bosh. This will be the first time the team has held training camp outside of the state of Florida.

The team recently signed Michael BeasleyLarry Drew IIJustin Hamilton and Eric Griffin to bolster their training camp squad.
