LeBron James is at it again - making the most of his influence through basketball to tell a story and help change the world. James has always been one of the most active players business wise outside of basketball and he isn't stopping as he prepares to help produce a new sitcom.
James who helped put together a mini web series called "The LeBrons" is now set to put together an inspiring story that will explore survivor's guilt of making it out of the inner city, something that James feels he knows too well. LeBron won't star in the series, but it will focus on two men on the streets who attain fame, one a basketball player and one not.
"I think the main thing for me is, first of all, making it out of a place where you're not supposed to. You're supposed to be a statistic and end up like the rest of the people in the inner city -- [and] being one of the few to make it out and everyone looking at you to be the savior," James said.
The show will be called, "Survivor's Remorse" and will be televised on Starz. The show is meant to be light hearted but also display true stories through the struggles of the city. It's meant to deal with difficult situations with a touch of humor. The show will be based in North Philadelphia, and it won't be an autobiography of James.
"It's definitely not an autobiographical series about my life or LeBron's life; it's fictional characters living in a fictional world" said James' business partner and friend Maverick Carter.
Stay tuned for details about when this series will be released and aired on TV.
