Wade's World Foundation celebrates 10 years of service

The Wade's World Foundation kicks off Wade's World Weekend in Chicago to celebrate their 10 year anniversary.

The Wade's World Foundation is currently celebrating it's 10th anniversary of service and involvement in the community with Wade's World Weekend in Chicago, or simply, W3. The W3 events kicked off Thursday, September 5th with a VIP cocktail reception that included a few of Dwyane Wade's NBA teammates and friends such as Chicago native, Juwan Howard. Wade announced his new Live to Dream campaign and the vision behind the Foundation's Capital Campaign.

The Foundation's Celebration Gala was held at the Peninsula Hotel in Chicago, IL on Friday, September 6th. The event was hosted by Dwyane Wade himself and included cocktails, dinner, live performances, an auction benefiting the foundation, and even a few celebrity guests. Teen R&B group Mindless Behavior, Chicago Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall, and comedian/actor Steve Harvey were a few of the big names present for the night's event.

Saturday, the foundation held a music festival at Douglas Park in Chicago which included a special guest appearance by Mindless Behavior and was free to anyone who signed the Live to Dream pledge. The Foundation is set to hold a Live to Dream Sunday service tomorrow hosted by Dwyane and Pastor Wade to wrap up the weekend's festivities.
