At 30-12, Miami has won just three of their last seven contests, but they're an entire league better than this season's version of the 16-26 Lakers, who have 13 losses in their last 16 games. Coach Erik Spoelstra is going to rest superstar Dwyane Wade and his knees for the night - the Lakers wish they were that lucky. Their current injury report reads more like an NHL club, with Steve Blake (right elbow), Jordan Farmar (left hamstring), Pau Gasol (left big toe), Xavier Henry (right knee), Steve Nash (strained back/hamstrings), and future Hall-of-Famer Kobe Bryant (broken leg) filling the bench in street clothes.
The Heat are currently a dead-lock for the postseason, while the Lakers are just fighting for respectabiity and pride, and would need a substantial miracle to find themselves in playoff talks.
Probable Starting Heat Lineup
PG - Mario Chalmers
SG - Ray Allen
C - Chris Bosh
SF - LeBron James
PF - Shane Battier
