Game Preview: Heat hope to end skid in Memphis, take on Grizzlies

New, comments

Dropping their first game of their road trip, the Heat travel to Memphis to take on the Grizzlies.

Justin Ford-USA TODAY Sports

Story:

The Heat are not in a good way right now.

Losers of three straight, all by double digits, the road gets no easier.  The Heat continue their five game road stretch by battling with the Memphis Grizzlies, who are tied for 2nd place in the Western Conference.

The Heat continue to struggle with injury, playing without Luol Deng, Udonis Haslem and Norris Cole in their loss versus the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday night.  It might be a while before we see the Heat play at full strength, as we were once promised when this team was put together.

The Grizzlies are in a bit of a jam themselves, losers of two straight against high-caliber West contenders.

Game Facts:

The Heat are 20-15 all time vs. the Grizzlies, though they are only 12-13 since the Grizzlies relocated from Vancouver to Memphis.

Probable Starters:

If Norris Cole continues to be held out with injury we expect the starting lineup to remain as it appeared in Friday's loss vs. the Bucks:

Heat

  • Chris Bosh
  • Danny Granger
  • Josh McRoberts
  • Dwyane Wade
  • Mario Chalmers

Grizzlies

  • Marc Gasol
  • Zach Randolph
  • Tony Allen
  • Courtney Lee
  • Mike Conley
