LeBron to answer fans' questions during NBA Facebook Live session

LeBron James, Boris Diaw and Patty Mills all scheduled to be included in Saturday's show.

The NBA has announced that none other than Miami Heat superstar LeBron James will be available for an exclusive Facebook Live during media availability on Saturday, June 7 at 1:30 pm ET live from the AT&T Center in San Antonio.

Fans from around the world can ask questions to the superstar, along with San Antonio Spurs players Boris Diaw and Patty Mills, during the 30-minute show which can be viewed on and  Fans will be able to submit questions via Facebook and Instagram.

The NBA's press release notes that "the NBA Facebook Live shows are part of the league's continued innovation and most widespread use of social media during any NBA event."

Along with June 4 and 7, additional shows will be on:

  • Wednesday, June 11 at 1:30 PM ET(Miami - American Airlines Arena)
  • Saturday, June 14, at 1:30 PM ET (San Antonio - AT&T Center)*
  • Thursday, June 19 at 1:30 PM ET (San Antonio - AT&T Center)*

In addition to Facebook Live, the NBA also has these social media events planned during the 2014 NBA Finals:

Facebook Fandom Map: A map of the United States will provide a state-by-state breakdown of which team fans in each state want to see win The Finals.

Twitter: NBA will provide real-time in-game highlights with #NBARapidReplay via Twitter's new video player.  Additionally, the NBA will use Twitter "tune in cards" allowing fans to check in to every game, and "polling cards" for fans to weigh in on predictions for upcoming games, select the leading scorer of the game, and more.

Snapchat: After a successful launch at NBA All-Star, the NBA will use Snapchat, the photo messaging application, to provide fans with behind-the-scenes images during The Finals.

Reddit "Ask Me Anything": On select non-game days, fans will be able to ask NBA legends and NBA players not participating in The Finals various questions on Reddit (

Flipagram: Following each game, the NBA will provide fans with access to a "virtual flipbook" of Instagram photos via Flipagram.

The Skimm: A select NBA player will "guest Skimm" about The Finals on the daily and informative e-mail newsletter (
