Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

The Miami Heat have released the official 2014-14 NBA schedule which finds Miami hosting the Cleveland Cavaliers twice in Miami, with the first matchup scheduled for Christmas Day. The Heat have 16 back-to-sets scheduled and their longest road trip is five games (twice). There are no games scheduled between February 12 through the 19th thanks to an extended All-Star break.

Here is the full Heat press release followed by the complete schedule:

MIAMI, FL - The Miami HEAT announced its 2014-15 regular season schedule today. The 82-game schedule consists of 41 home dates, all at AmericanAirlines Arena, and 41 road contests, and runs from October 29, 2014 through April 15, 2015. Sun Sports, the exclusive regional television partner of the Miami HEAT, will air all games available for local broadcast which will amount to 75 games in total. The HEAT will make 20 national television appearances, including seven exclusive broadcasts on ABC (2) and TNT (5). In addition, ESPN is scheduled to broadcast nine HEAT games and NBA TV has scheduled coverage on four games with Miami being eligible for up to five additional appearances as part of the NBA TV Tuesday Fan Night campaign. The Miami HEAT Radio Network, led by its flagship station 104.3 FM - The Ticket, will carry all of the team's games in English, while Univision Radio's Radio Mambi (710 AM) or Mix 98.3 FM (regular season conflict games) will broadcast each regular season game in Spanish. Additional broadcast schedule information, including pre-season coverage, will be available at a later date.

Miami kicks off its 27th season when it hosts the Washington Wizards on Wednesday, October 29 (7:30 PM). This marks the 19th time in franchise history that the HEAT will open the season at home, and the second time it will face Washington on opening night. The HEAT begins the season with three of its first four games at home. Miami plays its first road contest on Saturday, November 1 at Philadelphia (7 PM) and also concludes the regular season with a game at Philadelphia on April 15 (8 PM).

The schedule features several exciting match-ups, including a pair of NBA Finals rematches against the San Antonio Spurs on February 6 at San Antonio (9:30 PM) and March 31 in Miami (8 PM). For the 11th time overall and the 10th time in the last 11 years, the HEAT will play on Christmas Day as they play host to LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in a 5 PM nationally televised game on ABC. The Cavs return for their second visit on March 16 (8 PM) and Miami will travel to Cleveland for games on February 11 (8 PM) and April 2 (8 PM). The Indiana Pacers, Miami's Eastern Conference Finals opponent, visit on November 12 (7:30 PM) and January 23 (7:30 PM), while the New York Knicks make their lone visit to Miami on February 9 (7:30 PM). The Chicago Bulls make two visits to Miami on December 14 (6 PM) and April 9 (8 PM), and the Oklahoma City Thunder visit Miami on January 20 (7:30 PM).

This year's schedule features 40 of the 82 games played on weekends (Friday through Sunday), the most weekend games Miami has had in a season since playing 42 in the 2008-09 campaign. Of the 40 weekend games, 17 will be played in Miami (four on Friday, six on Saturday and seven on Sunday). The HEAT's longest homestand will be a seven-game stretch from December 17-29. Miami's longest stretch of road games is a pair of five-game trips, from December 5-12 and January 8-16. Additionally, the HEAT will play 16 sets of back-to-back games, one fewer than last season.

The month in which Miami plays the highest number of games is December, when the HEAT hits the hardwood 17 times. March will be the month in which the HEAT plays its most home contests, with 10 of its 16 games in the AmericanAirlines Arena. The most road games Miami will play in a month is eight, which they do in December, January and February.
