Chris Bosh, the Miami Heat's versatile big man is diversifying his interests off the court with the debut of his new tie line, Mr. Nice Tie.
Collaborating with Philadelphia-based Armstrong & Wilson, the line will include five regular ties and five bow ties that will retail from $105 to $130.
Asked why he chose a tie line, Bosh explained to the New York Times that "men don't have that many accessory options and I wanted something that was both cool and classic."
However, the true inspiration came from his father and memories from his childhood according to Armstrong & Wilson's website:
"When I was a kid I used to watch my father get ready in the mirror. He used to get dressed and the last thing he always did was tie his tie. I don’t know if he saw me, but I’d constantly watch him get ready in the mirror. I remember being so proud the first time I learned how to tie that first tie knot by myself. That moment to me was priceless"
Bosh is said to have been involved in every step of the process and plans on handing them out to his teammates in the locker room.
