The South Florida Sun-Sentinel's Ira Winderman reported today that the Miami Heat have agreed to sign free agent center Chris Johnson, reaching the NBA's 20-player roster limit for training camp. The team's official Twitter account has not confirmed the signing, however.
Heat are expected to fill out their 20-man camp roster with the addition of 6-11 Chris Johnson, who has been with four NBA teams since 2010.— Ira Winderman (@IraHeatBeat) September 25, 2014
Johnson is a 29-year-old journeyman who has spent time with NBA teams, the D-League and several countries before playing last season in China. He likely figures to compete for a spot in the power forward/center rotation on the final 15-man roster against Justin Hamilton.
