The Miami Heat announced today that center Justin Hamilton underwent a heart procedure to repair an atrial flutter, an abnormality in the beating of the heart. After experiencing light-headedness during practice, he received the diagnosis at Doctors Hospital in Miami.

Hamilton can begin non-contact exercises after a few days of rest. Heat staff will re-evaluate him in three weeks, before he can rejoin team activities. He is expected to make a full recovery.
