The Miami Heat announced Tuesday that they have assigned forward Jarnell Stokes to their D-League affiliate Sioux Falls Skyforce.

Acquired along with point guard Beno Udrih in the Nov. 10 trade with the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for Mario Chalmers and James Ennis, Stokes has yet to appear in a game with the Heat.

Strokes was selected with the 35th overall pick in the 2014 NBA draft by the Utah Jazz, and was later traded to the Grizzlies. He played 19 games with the Grizzlies during the 2014-15 season, averaging 3.0 points and 1.8 rebounds in 6.6 minutes per game. He also played in 23 games with the Iowa Energy on assignment last season and averaged 15.1 points, 11.3 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 32.0 minutes while shooting 61.7 percent from the field.

Stokes will be in uniform tomorrow night against the Grand Rapids Drive and will wear number 21.
