The Miami Heat announced today that team captains Udonis Haslem and Dwyane Wade have officially become the longest tenured teammate pair to make their debut in the same season in NBA history!
Here's proof that I'm not lying

Both made their NBA debut during the 2003-04 season and now enter their 13th season together. Now what have they done so far?
Three NBA Championships
Five Eastern Conference titles
Seven division titles
Ten playoff appearances
How have both players stayed this long together in a league where players are constantly traded after a few seasons and free agency is like every two weeks? First would be financial sacrifice. Both started giving up money when LeBron James and Chris Bosh came to the team, and since 2010 they've been taking less and less. Udonis Haslem even last season made a sacrifice again, eared $2.7 million after opting out of a deal that would have paid $4.6 million.
Another reason would be how talented both are. You already know that Wade is one of the greatest shooting guards in the history of the NBA. As for Udonis, he is the definition of a Pat Riley player. Not only is he the franchise leader for most rebounds, but he also is the team enforcer. Ask David West or Zaza Pachulia about that.
Life is going to suck when these two retire. Congrats guys on making it this far!
