After helping the Sioux Falls Skyforce to a 6-1 record over the course of two different stints with the team, the Miami Heat announced Tuesday they are recalling Jarnell Stokes from their D-League affiliate team. He will join the team immediately and will be available for their game against the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday.
Stokes, who arrived with Beno Udrih from the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for Mario Chalmers and James Ennis in a November trade, averaged 18.1 points, 8.9 rebounds, 1.29 steals, 1.14 blocks and 29.0 minutes while shooting 65.9 percent from the field during his time in Sioux Falls.
The Heat's press release also points out that Stokes "finished with the second-highest field goal percentage in the Development League while posting two double-doubles and scoring at least 20 points in four contests. Additionally, he grabbed double-figure rebounds on three occasions and blocked multiple shots three times."
