GAME PREVIEW
The Heat have won the last five matchups against the Nets, and they hope to make it six on Monday night in Miami. With Brooklyn near the bottom of the Eastern Conference, the Heat are eyeing the top only trailing Cleveland and Atlanta. Miami won in Brooklyn 12 days ago on an impressive fourth quarter performance from Dwyane Wade, a 104-98 victory.
The Heat hope to have Tyler Johnson back as he said he was eyeing this game for his return. Josh McRoberts is still an unknown.
Miami will need to control Brook Lopez in the middle and hope that Joe Johnson isn't on. The Heat have had a tendency to let leads go, as they did on Christmas Day. On Saturday, they had to fight back from a deficit. An overall, complete game would be beneficial for this team.
Miami will play in Memphis on Tuesday night. So getting a win against an inferior team needs to be a priority. The biggest matchup will be Brook Lopez and Hassan Whiteside. They will battle down low and whoever is more successful is going to give their team a big advantage.
I expect this to be a low scoring game, in the 90's but ultimately a Heat win at home.
